Shipowners right to use the vessel

After purchasing shares, the shareholder acquires a right to use the research vessel as an ROI. The minimum capital contribution is EUR 10,000 per share subscription. For every EUR 10,000 invested, the first 100 shareholders and shipowners, together with an accompanying person, shall be granted the right to use the owner's cabin free of charge for one week per year until the end of their lives.

Any unoccupied cabins shall be made available to the shipowners, and the shipowners shall also receive a 50% cabin discount for family and friends (family tariff for parents, children and siblings). In addition, shipowners shall also be able to bequeath their shares for this cross-generational project.

The Citizen Science Cruises shareholders are entitled to use the ship proportionately according to the amounts they invest. That means two weeks for EUR 20,000, three weeks for EUR 30,000, etc. An investment of EUR 80,000 will mean eight weeks of usage per year.

In such a case, the shareholder can use the owner's cabin for eight weeks per year, or two comparable cabins for four weeks, or four cabins for two weeks, etc. A capital contribution of EUR 10,000 generally corresponds to one week's use of the ship per year.

There are owner's cabins on board. The equipment and the space available in the owner's cabins are equivalent to a junior suite. If several owners want to use the owner's cabins at the same time (e.g. public holidays or school holidays), the time of the cabin booking (first come, first served) will be key to deciding on their allotment.

The use of the owner's cabin is transferrable, but any sale of the right of use is prohibited. When booking a cabin, owners receive a 50% discount on the official cabin price (family tariff for parents, children and siblings) when booking a cabin beyond their right of use.

The first 100 shareholders are entitled to use the vessel on a pro rata basis according to the amount of their invested contribution until the end of their lives. The use of the owner's cabin if not used by the shareholder can be transferred to other family members (family tariff for parents, children and siblings). If the shareholder arranges cabins for third parties, he shall receive a brokerage commission of 10% of the cabin fee.

Free, underutilized cabins can be distributed to the shareholders on request. In addition, shares can also be bequeathed for this cross-generational project.
